Beth McNinch joins the teaching staff at County Wexford School of Music (CWSM)
Violist, Beth McNinch, has taken on the role of Conductor at County Wexford Youth Orchestra (CWYO). She studied in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music, where she performed regularly with the London Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony and Concert Orchestras, English National Opera and the London Mozart Players.
Beth brings a wealth of experience and expertise as conductor, soloist, founder and artistic director of Musici Ireland. She is an accomplished musician and will guide the youth orchestra programme through these challenging times. We are excited to work with Beth to deliver a series of ensemble workshops, which will be initially offered online to CWYO members. These workshops will highlight key insights into ensemble playing ensuring that CWYO will not loose its momentum due to physical distancing.
CWYO has already reached great heights from memorable performances at our own Winter and Summer Concerts to representing Wexford and Ireland at international orchestral festivals in Prague, Italy and Dublin. CWYO's achievements to-date have been made possible by outgoing conductor Emily Redmond who worked passionately to create a special culture for its members and to bring them to incredible artistic heights. We look forward to continuing our development of CWYO and giving the students the valued experience of collaboration and performance.
