OSAMI is the name of a music and dance improvisation project between County Wexford Youth Orchestra, composer Laura Hyland and choreographer Deirdre Grant (of Myriad Dance). It was funded by CREATE (the National Development Agency for the Collaborative Arts) and the Arts Council Artist In the Community Grant.

This project explored the idea that the movement inherent in playing an instrument can be extended into the realm of dance, and conversely, that the focus on physical gesture inherent in dance, when applied to an instrument , elicits new ways of playing. Participants are members of the County Wexford Youth Orchestra and residents of the County Wexford School of Music.

The project took place between February and May of 2011 with a showcase of the work taking place in the Wexford Opera House on the 31st of May 2012.
